How to dye facial hair without allergic reaction?

I bought the "Just for Men" facial hair dye. I dyed my chin hair. I got a HORRIBLE allergic reaction to the dye. Weepy/crusty sores. It was aweful. I went to the doctor and he prescribed steroids to stop the reaction.

Is there a facial hair dye available for people like me? I've never seen any in the stores.
