Weight and facial hair?

I've noticed that several heavy women I know have a facial hair problem. I have not noticed this trend in less heavy women. Has anyone noticed this as well? If so, does extreme weight cause facial hair, or is there another factor contributing to both?

Weight and facial hair?

I don't think there is any relation between the two.

Facial hair are harmonal based and weight could be heriditry but more come from inappropriate diet and no exercise.

So weight should not contribute to facial hair

Weight and facial hair?

i am obese and have facial hair i think it is a hormone problem and that the facts are not understood by dr. I am also diabetic and had terrible menstral and menopause bleeding

Weight and facial hair?

male hormones

Weight and facial hair?

If they have Polycystic Ovaries, yes, cuz if they have that it usually makes u gain weight and grow alot of hair esp facial, some people usually have it and dont even know about it.

Weight and facial hair?

Other factors contribute to both. "Other factors" could include, for example, PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome), a relatively common reproductory/hormonal problem, two (common) symptoms of which are weight gain, especially around the abdomen, and excess body hair %26amp;/or facial hair. Excess stress can also be a cause of both symptoms -- hirsutism because of increased levels of androgens and weight gain through stress-induced overeating %26amp;/or because of hormonal imbalances. In fact, hormone imbalances of almost any kind can lead to both facial hair and excess weight.

Of course, there are many cases where facial hair is simply hereditary and the weight, if present, is something totally independent, but when there's a connection of any kind, then I'd say that it's not that one causes the other, but rather that the two (often) have a common cause.

Weight and facial hair?

It is hormones.

androgens do that.
