Threading to remove facial hair?

hi, I am planning to remove the facial hair above my upper lips by facial threading.I've heard that hair regrowth takes place 2 to 8 weeks after, and the hair is less coarse and is more sparse. How far is this true?

Stop and think carefully about this one.

There isn't a simple answer.

Waxing, plucking, threading, epilating all pull the hair out by the roots and where the growth is hormonally-driven can actually stimulate a dormant follicle into producing more hair quicker. They also distort the root if done repeatedly, leading to hair growing at strange angles. And you've got to let the hair grow to quite a length before you can repeat the exercise. It can also damage the skin and discolor it.

Chemical depilatories strong enough to remove the hair are very likely to burn the skin, cause swelling and cause long-term discoloration of the skin.

Laser is also liable to cause burning and discoloration.

Electrolysis is very liable to cause scarring and discoloration of the skin.

Which, like it or not, leaves shaving which does not damage the skin. Best done with a men's-style electric razor, the best of which, for women, are probably those from the men's range of Norelco razors (Philishave outside the US).

Regrowth is a matter of how strong the hormonal stimulation is. The fact that your moustache grows at all is because of your skin in that area being sensitized to testosterone and your testosterone levels being sufficient to stimulate the growth. Very many women have no moustache at all. Many have only a very slight growth. But some have as much as men. So regrowth rates vary, whatever method of hair removal you use.

This is true , you need to do threading every once in 3 weeks.

Many people prefer to make their body and facial hair less noticeable by bleaching.

Detailed information about the effectiveness of bleaching is available at http://www.hairremoval.in/hairbleach.htm...

I highly recommend threading, but I wouldn't say that the hair growth is necessarily less coarse. It's probably the same as if you were to wax. In addition, hair regrowth really depends on the individual. After I thread, some hair starts growing back as soon as a few days later. It just really depends. With all of that said, I like threading rather than waxing because you don't put any chemicals on your face and if done well, it looks very good and clean.
