I have a question about facial hair for males?

my husband has to shave his facial hairs everyday(they grow so fast) also it grows back very thick. he uses the triple blades but because of his thick facial hair, the blades get dull in no time. what can he do to help with not having to shave everyday and the thickness of the facial hair? dont be rude, i am trying to help him out and i know nothing about facial hair

I have to shave twice a day. Morning %26amp; Night to keep smooth. I use a Razor as it seems to last better than an electric shaver. In the winter I will grow a Beard to keep my face warm and only have to trim around the edges then.

He should try a men's exfoilating facial scrub before shaving this will take off dead skin cells making him able to get a closer shave. other than that i dont know what else to try

good luck

Try waxing. by the looks of the stars faces im sure they do. And if you compare it to female hair waxing makes it grow back thinner and less harsh. Try it, what can he lose? lots of men wax.

i believe that they actually have nair for men. It's a facial creme that "wipes away" hair and it's roots, prolonging growback time. It works, so I've heard.

Short of haveing them removed permenently he can do nothing aabout them growing. He can grow a beard, and just cut it short every few weeks

A pre-shave gel that will sofen the facial hair may help extend the life of the razor blades. Shave after taking a shower, too.

As for reducing the thickness, good luck. A very good electric shaver may pay for itself over time, but requires some upkeep--ensuring the heads stay clean and lubricated. Also, you will have to replace the razor heads for the electric shaver over time, but I would think it would be cheaper than buying new triple-blades. They certainly get expensive quickly. But an electric shaver won't solve the thickness problem... of the hair.

Perhaps laser hair removal is an option if you want a permanent, and perhaps pricey, solution.

Why doesn't someone invent a razor with ceramic blades that don't dull quickly?

Bound's hubby here:

Generally, I cannot use a multi-edge razor because the blades clog with hair before I get halfway done shaving. I generally use disposable single or double edge blades when I don't use the electric razor. What you might want to consider for your husband is a barber's single edge razor with a leather strap for sharpening.

Good luck.

I have a question about facial hair for males?

There are 2 questions you have asked. I'll answer them 1 at a time..

1st: Hair growing back fast:

Make sure he's shaving right. Just because he uses a triple blade doesnt mean he gets a clean shave. Improper shaving can lead to ingrown hair which causes the hair follicles to push out, leading to rapid hair growth.

For this, make sure he uses good quality cream/gel. Also, he can oil the hair. this makes the hair soft and it cuts cleanly. He can try waxing, as many others suggested.

2nd: Thickness of hair

Generally, facial hair is thicker. Theres nothing anyone can do about that. There are a million creams and other comsmetics that combat this problem.

I also suggest you visit a dermatologist to make sure that the problem is not a result of some skin condition or other ailment.

Best of luck

I suggest using a depilatory cream made especially for the face. The Nair for men is not reccomended for use on the face, but there are products made especially for the face... There are a few creams by Formula 103 ($2.99) and there are a few powders by Magic ($2.49), they both take about 5-7 minutes to use.

i use the same razor. let him grow a neat beard. Or let him go a few days between shaves. Maybe a nice top of the line electric razor. Cheap ones rip the hair our and hurt. It's a shame we have to ask for serious answers in here.
