Why is having facial hair restricted?

Hi

I hate to shave my facial hair

But I'm a high school student in a Christian school

Our dress code requires clean shaved faces

I'm a Christian

I believe God made facial hair for men

I think every men has their freedom to have facial hair

Just like having hair on any other body parts

But why is having facial hair restricted in a lot of private high schools and considered informal?

Maybe it's unclean sometimes but is our hair always clean and looks perfect?

I just don't know why I don't have the freedom to have facial hair

And is it possible to remove this dress code with righteousness?

Thanx

Why is having facial hair restricted?

I think you have a good point. What makes facial hair different from hair on top of your head? We had that rule at my school too. I don't grow much facial hair, but for someone who does I think that's a pretty personal decision, not part of a dress code.

Why is having facial hair restricted?

That has nothing to do with a Christian school. I went to public high school and they had facial hair restrictions as well; most high schools and even many professional jobs do. Clean shaven is considered well groomed much like having a hair above the collar and no sideburns. It is just considered professional. I agree though that facial hair has no bearing on productivity. Its just a way of them being in control I guess. Nothing you can do about it except conform.

Why is having facial hair restricted?

I dunno some people are just obsessed with personal appearances

Why is having facial hair restricted?

To make you appear younger.

But interestingly, it's not normally restricted as far as girls are concerned. See if you can identfiy a girl who doesn't remove her facial hair and make due enquiry of the school as to why she's allowed to wear a moustache.
